What to specify in a Rolls-Royce request
A marque name is not enough to confirm a car. These are the details that decide whether a request can even be priced.
Swipe sideways to read every column.
| Specify | Why it is required |
|---|---|
| Model | Phantom, Ghost, Cullinan or another model you actually want. Do not leave it as “a Rolls.” |
| Date and hours | A transfer and a car held for the evening are different requests. |
| Itinerary | Pickup entrance, stops and the time the car is released. |
| Party and luggage | So the model you named is even a plausible fit. Capacity is not stated here. |
| Color or cabin, if it matters | Only a written confirmation can accept a preference. A photo you found elsewhere is not the car. |
Request, then confirmation
The published classes are the business sedan, the SUV, the Mercedes S-Class and the Sprinter. A Rolls-Royce is requested separately. The confirmation names the model and the terms before you tell guests the car is set.
There is no published hourly rate. If that car is not available, the S-Class or another published class can be offered instead, and it should be described as itself.
Sedan models and the Cullinan
For a Rolls-Royce sedan, name the model. For the Cullinan, say so, so the request is not answered with a sedan.
Send the passenger count and the bags. The confirmation states whether that model suits the party and the luggage.
How the hours work if a car is confirmed
Say whether you need a single transfer or the car held. A held car should state the start time and the number of hours. There is no published Rolls-Royce day rate. The quote is the price for that request.
An airport pickup still needs the flight, terminal and bag plan, plus the city address. Meeting patterns for JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, Teterboro, Westchester and Stewart are the same kind of flight details. They do not add a Rolls-Royce price.
Send the details, then wait
The booking is with a chauffeur. The confirmation names the vehicle and the terms for your date.
Send the model, date, itinerary, passenger and bag notes, and any detail you cannot do without. Wait for that confirmation before you print a program or promise a color. If you want a listed sedan rate today, the S-Class is $175 an hour with a three-hour minimum.
Questions before booking
Do you have a Rolls-Royce in the fleet?
The published classes are sedan, SUV, S-Class and Sprinter. A Rolls-Royce is a separate request, confirmed when that car and those terms are available for your date.
What is the hourly rate?
There is no published Rolls-Royce rate. Sedan, SUV, S-Class and Sprinter rates are for those classes. The price is in the confirmation for your request.
Can I drive it myself?
No. If a car is confirmed, it is with a chauffeur. Self-drive is not offered.
Which page is the Cullinan?
Ask for the Cullinan when that SUV is the car you want. Name a sedan model when you want a sedan.
What if the car cannot be confirmed?
You will be told. The S-Class is the published sedan alternative, at $175 an hour with a three-hour minimum. It should not be described as a Rolls-Royce.
